Small law offices run on dates, documents and hours. Docket is the sample app I built for them. It reads court orders into the calendar, keeps documents under the right matter and turns calls and e-mails into time entries, so less of the day goes to the administrative side of practice.

Docket is a sample with sample data. Your app is built around your own steps, fields and names.
Court orders arrive as PDFs, and someone has to read each one and enter every date by hand. Documents get saved to the wrong folder. Phone calls and short e-mails to clients happen all day, and many never become time entries.
Clients call to ask where their case stands, and each call interrupts drafting. Engagement letters go out and don’t come back signed. A matter goes quiet for a month, and nobody notices until the client asks.
The app pulls deadlines from court orders into the calendar and warns before each one with time to prepare. It tracks statute of limitations dates you enter. New documents are filed under the right matter, and long documents and depositions get a summary you can read first.
It logs billable time from e-mails and calls, spots time you forgot to bill and builds the invoice from your entries. It checks new matters against your client list and shows matters with no activity for 30 days. Clients receive plain-language updates and reminders of court dates.
It is for solo practitioners, small partnerships and offices with a few attorneys and paralegals, in practice areas from family law to small business work. Your app uses your matter types, your templates and your billing steps.
No. It reads dates from court orders and documents and puts them in front of you, but an attorney confirms every deadline. The summaries and draft letters are starting points. Legal judgment, and responsibility for the work, stay with you.
Clients get a private link to view and upload documents for their matter. They can also book a consultation online and pay an invoice from a link in the e-mail. You decide what each client can see.
The app keeps the trust account entries you record and flags ones that don’t match. It does not replace your bank records or your own review. It points out entries worth a second look, and checking them stays with you and your accountant.
“Being one day after our 3rd party audit of our GMP and food safety procedures, and our improved maintenance system was a positive and important part of that audit, I would like to thank Ciscom for the software they made for us. It helped us organize the maintenance department and eased the scheduling of preventive maintenance as well as keeping record of spare parts in inventory.”
“Our tCaretraK system, custom created by Ciscom, is a dream come true! … Since implementation, our records have become streamlined, to the point of redefining our entire approach to being a paperless office. …”
“Our tCaretraK system, custom created by Ciscom, is a dream come true! I’d just to tick off a few of the amazing accomplishments that we were able to achieve. Since implementation, our records have become streamlined, to the point of redefining our entire approach to being a paperless office. The fully customizable auto emails land in the pre-designated persons email with the precision of a fine-tuned watch. Finally, as a Director, I can’t begin to tell you how amazing Ciscom’s “History” feature is. Gone are the finger pointing games between employees as there’s a clear trail of each and every entry/change/update.”
