Chasing documents instead of doing the work
Month-end starts with a list of missing statements and receipts. You e-mail, then call, then e-mail again. Bank transactions need categorizing by hand, and a bill paid twice may not show up until the reconciliation.
Deadlines differ by client and by form. Keeping track of who is filing what, and when, means a spreadsheet that one person maintains. When clients ask how their business is doing, the answer is a set of statements they don’t read.
Sorted books, fewer reminder e-mails
The app sorts bank transactions into the right accounts and reads receipts and bills from photos. It asks clients for missing documents through one upload link and tracks who is late. It drafts the month-end close checklist and points out statements still missing before the close.
It flags transactions that don’t fit the usual pattern, catches duplicate bills and payments, and warns before each filing deadline. Clients get a plain monthly summary in place of statements. Your team reviews everything; the app does the first pass.
Solo bookkeepers to small practices

Accountants and bookkeepers: common questions
Does the app give tax advice?
No. It prepares worksheets, fills in forms like 1099s from vendor records and flags numbers that look off, such as sales tax. Everything it produces is a draft for you to check. You and your clients remain responsible for every filing.
How do clients send their documents?
Each client gets one link to upload statements, receipts and bills from a phone or computer. The app files them with that client and checks them off the list. Clients who are behind get a reminder, so you don’t have to write it.
Can I see which clients are short on cash?
The app notices when a client’s cash is running low in their books and points it out to you. What to tell the client is your call. It can also remind clients of payments they have coming due and send engagement letters for e-signature.
